Discovering Unconventional Drug Rehab

At the age of 16 I figured out the hard way that I had a problem. My parents had stopped me dead in my tracks. I was confronted head on by family, about my addiction to alcohol and cocaine. I foolishly thought I was hiding it well. But that mistake comes with being young, dumb, and addicted to drugs. Fortunately I had parents who loved me enough to pay attention to my actions and who I was hanging around. My parents are also both recovering drug addicts who know the devastating effects of abusing your body and mind for too many years. They did not want the same life for me.

Drug Abuse Treatment

The constant and unnecessary use of chemical matters to achieve certain effects for the body is what we called drug abuse. These substances may be “illicit” drugs, unlawful due to their high probability for dependence and abuse. They can also drugs attained with a prescription, used for pleasure rather than for medical reasons.
